If you7 really had to have a shit in those school bogs, there was no locks so you finished up with a load of other kids watching and laughing at you.

How about this stuff. Washable toilet paper for the ecologically sound household.

No mate, deepest Essex. I think there was probably a similar set up in a lot of schools built in Victorian or early 20th times.
Mine closed a long time ago as a primary school (soon after I left in fact) but is still there as an adult education centre so I have a poke around for old times sake every once in a while. Bogs have improved greatly I am glad to say!

Is Izal the one with "London County Council Now wash your hands" on it?
And they still sell it?

The same, absolutely. My (primary) school bogs were also outside, a decent trek from the actual school building and had no roof over the long single urinal section. This led to competitive pissing trying to get it over the wall.
Back on topic I am surprised the the Izal paper is still available, who in their right mind would go for the stuff? Its a good job that as primary school kids nobody had hairy bum holes!

We used to have Izal a school in the outside bogs.
The combination of cold air and the feeling that Izal hadn't done a complete job has never left me.

Anything double ply. That way your fingers don't go through.
Single ply is utterly useless.
